Need help with storage ideas ?
I have 2 questions. Firstly I need a site that would sell nice cute storage bins for cheap. Secondly, does anyone know of a place to store a newborn baby's clothes I would like to keep all of them on the original hangers but I don't where to find a small bureau to hang them. Please provide links I would very much appreciate it
DIY Ikea storage solution?
I have a cubby hole in our wall that is about 5 feet tall, 2 feet deep, and 4 feet wide. I need a shelving unit with doors to put in there to store baskets of household items that are cluttery. I want it to look like a built in, if at all possible....with legs, if at all possible. Ikea customer service pretty much blows, unfortunately, so I can't find a real person there to help me find what I'm looking for. I've looked under their kitchen cabinets and wardrobes, but can't really find something with doors AND shelves.Does anyone have an affordable suggestion or another place I could look? Thanks.
I've cleaned and part-boarded out my loft for storage. why does it smell so unpleasant up there?
theres plenty of ventilation so why doesn't the air smell clear. it is an old house 100 years . Loft was very dusty and theres old dirty insulation material between the ceiling joists. Could this be harbouring the odour? whats the solution?

My boyfriend, for lack of better phrasing is a pack rat. He has a 10 by 10 storage unit of junk. It was never properly packed and everything smells of mildew or has cobwebs all over it. The biggest problem is that he does not want to throw anything out for fear that he will find a match later on. He is spending $100 a month on the unit and has for 4 years. Complete waste of money. He saves his ex wife's wedding dress thinking I would want to wear it. I don't think so her taste in clothing was awful in my opinion. I made him a deal that if he wanted to progress with our relationship the storage unit needed to be cleared out within 6 months. How can I help him? Should we sell or donate the few items that MAY be use able?

What to do with these plastic storage boxes?
so my mom got these shelves that you can connect one on top, another one on top, and then another one on top for our rooms at my dad's house. I know she's trying to help, and I do appreciate it. But she showed me AFTER my dad let me pick out the carpet, and it DOES NOT match at all. The carpet I picked out is called Cashmere and the walls are still white, we're not sure if we're going to repaint them or whatnot well in one room, we can't paint due to wood paneling on the wall . Where can I put them? Since they are plastic, I am pretty sure they are not going to stand on the carpet..?
What is the best way keep a storage shed at a fair temperature year round?
At the time we built our house, my husband did not extend the air vents on into the small storage room adjacent to our double car garage. I ask him if he would extend the duct work in the attic to the storage room but he said " no" that it would be too much trouble.I have a son that still lives at home who would like to store a lot of his stuff in the room but cannot because a lot of his boxes contains VHS tapes and Compact Discs. His room and closet is so jam packed now that is isn't funny Is there any portable apparatus that I could buy that would keep the shed at a decent temperature year round so that he would be able to use this storage space? Or does anyone know about how much it would cost to run duct work to the storage room and install a vent out there? We have a air vent in our dining room which has only a very small laundry room separating the dining area from the storage room.

Hi, okay im trying to make my extra bedroom into a walk in closet storage space. Found my locks cut off storage unit. What should I do?
All of our belongings were in there. Our old landlord dumped them there and abandoned. The storage owner helped us find our stuff and has been letting us get it out. Now they're going through divorce so they don't keep track with their storage business. My husband found both our units had our locks cut off. No other locks were place on there. Not sure if anything is missing yet. My husband said he didn't see our big screen tv and some home movies. We suspect our old landlords broke into it trying to get stuff to sell. They illegally hid it for almost one year before we finally found it. Do we call the cops? What's the best legal approach to this?We don't have home insurance. Storage owners have told us that these landlords have done it to others also. They have another unit they've abandoned with other's stuff. Told us that our landlords was just " throwing" our belongings inside. Even our baby's toys.
