Question: Can you recycle small appliances?

I have a number of small appliances that don't work that I want to get rid of... old curling irons, a blender, a toaster, a clock radio that doesn't display the correct time. Can I recycle these items? And if I can, how do I go about finding the center. I live in Austin, TX.

Yes you can post them on freecycle.org other people take them and fix them so they dont wind up in junk yards

Check with your local missions and gleaners and see if they would like them. In our neighborhood they have people at these places that will repair them and give them away.
