If you treat your knives in that manner, they will be dull and ugly in no time. I have had a set of henckels 4-star for 32 years. It takes ten seconds to hand wash and dry a knife. They're just as beautiful as the day I bought them. You can spare ten seconds, can't you? |

You can I guess but I don't. It doesn't take any time at all to wash them by hand. |

IF you have the good old style with wooden handles absolutely not....if you have the Target junk with plastic handles maybe. |

Are they serrated, or regular? If they're regular, I wouldn't put them in the dishwasher. And like a previous answerer, if they have wooden handles, keep 'em out of the dishwasher. |

I don't think we are supposed to put any knives in the dishwasher. The Henckel knives are so expensive, I'd protect the sharpened edge so they don't get nicked but just washing them quickly with a cloth and hot soapy water and dry them and put them away right away. |

NO..No.. I have Henckels and Wolf Gangs. The literature specifically states not to wash in dishwater.,wash by hand in warm water and mild soap. The chemicals in washer detergent and drying agents combined with the lime and high heated water will rust and spot your knives. |
