My stainless flatware looks like tarnished silver. What is causing it and what can I do? Tried metal polish.?
Not all of it, just some. It is black. What can I do?
Is silver-plated flatware stainless or does it accumulate stains over time?
I'm shopping for flatware and I found some silver plated flatware on Horchow that I am in love with, but I need something that won't get stained for every day use. I understand stainless steel would be a best bet but I really like the look of this particular flatware and want it so bad.

The markings on my silver flatware are either ARO or ARC.800.X Forks and spoons . The markings on the knives are PER and a crown followed by NDY. Any information would be very helpful. Is the flatware made by Rogers Bros silver plated or sterling silver?

I am setting up home in the United States and want to get a cutlery set flatware set which includes real soup spoons. So far all I have seen are sets with dessert spoons only. Thanks.Chanteuse, I don't know if you live in the US or not, but a true soup spoon is round at the end, and a dessert spoon is elongated, like a tablespoon only a little smaller. Dessert spoons are being sold as soup spoons in US sets.

QVC Flatware Pattern Question?
3 years ago in the summer of 2006 I got a flatware set for my wedding. It was purchased from QVC and has a pattern with 3 flowers at the tip, I think they are lilies. Some pieces have been taken from me long story and I would love to replace. While certainly not the most expensive set, they are very near and dear to my heart and I would love to have my complete set again.If you could please let me know if you know the brand and pattern name I would be so greatful Thank you.
