How can i get the smell of roasted goose out of my open plan kitchen/living room/dining room?

Question: How can i get the smell of roasted goose out of my open plan kitchen/living room/dining room?

I roasted a goose recently and had the air extractor on as well as the window open but still the smell of the fat from the goose has permeated the entire open plan living area we have.I aired it, sprayed it, lit several joss sticks, the oven is spotless. What else can I do? It's a new house too and freshly painted.

Use a spray like Oust or Febreeze. Put some lemon peel, cinnamon sticks, cloves apple pieces in a small pan with water. Let is simmer and it will create a nice smell. Don't leave it unattended so that it doesn't burn down too much. Keep adding water. Open your windows and let the air blow through your house. If you have kitchen curtains, wash them.

Joss sticks wont work as the smell is too strong. Light a few highly scented candles -use both in the kitchen and the living areas.Keep them burning for as long as possible. This works for us.Good luck!

Open your window while you are in. It takes time to get rid of smell. I had that problem once. I used LUSH and Neal's Yard's products to get rid of the smell. It is costly but it worked very well. It does take some time.
