Question: I want to know a fair selling price for an old mahogany dining room set i own?

From the reasearch i have done it is Circa 1930- 50's, Dunkin Phife style, solid mahogany, 72 " pedistal tabel w/ leaf extends to 102 ", 4 reg chairs, 2 arm chairs, large china cabnet and buffet. banded/ inlay. in good condition

Duncan fife is well designed. Generally this sells best out of site of the hotels. Used in many hotels in history this old line of furnitures is good in that way, it has top utility wear. Though there are updates recently the value is around 2500. The antiquity is not as valuable as the chartership to get someone experience with this quality, try a recent wedding. Quality here is not for sale, that would be 20,000. It is an heirloom. Cherish this one and keep it in the family also.

The best way to figure a fair price is to do a search on ebay for something very closely related to what you have....and the put it on ebay, ...cus its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it!

At least $300. Im an advanced wood shop student in high school and ill tell you this, mahogany is very expensive especially being that old and in good condition. I would pay a lot for a chunk of mahogany over 50 years old.

If it's in really good condition being that old I would say dont take anything under $1000, furniture is very expensive and with you having a china cabinet and a buffet you might even get more, check with any local antique shops they will are usually in the market for that kind of product and even if there not interested they should still be able to give you a very good idea on the value of it.
