Are there any dining room sets that are as comfortable as a sofa?
Whenever it's time to eat, I dread going to the dining room table. It's stiff, wooden, and uncomfortable. I'd rather eat on the sofa, or sitting in the recliner, but that's not very civilized. I'm looking for a sofa esque dining room set. Is there anything like that in existence?Ha,ha, well some of you have suggested that I simply eat on the couch if that's what I like doing, or move the sofa into the dining room, etc. But I've got small children I'm trying to set an example for, so weirdness is not an option, haha, but thanks for the suggestions.
Where can I get a china cabinet to match a dining room set?
I am thinking of purchasing this dining room set from pottery barn. potterybarn.com products montego turned leg rectangular table the problem is, this dining room doesn't come with a china cabinet. It it possible to find a china cabinet that will go great with the dining room?
What color dining room set should i buy? My living room set is pretty modern.?
As in, it consists of 2 three seater couches and 1 one seater couch. The color is exactly not black. But when you first look at it, it is somewhat black and when you really look at it, it is navy blueish black. 2 side tables are made of oak and glass. the coffee table is glass with stainless steel sidings. i have another oak bookshelf near it and a black metal bookshelf tvshelf. 2 stainless steel lamps and side table lambs are beige cream colored. My current dining room set is made of glass top and ocean blue upholstery velvetty satin chairs. the chairs don't match with the couch set, i know. but i bought things on sale etc. i really want to buy a dining room set that matches my other furniture. So should i go for glass top or wood top? If wood, should i go for dark wood tops and black brown leather chairs? I don't like upholstery chairs b c guests always spill things on them. please help. brown or black leather chairs? glass top or wooden top?
Is $400 too much for a used 9 piece dining room set?
I'm looking to purchase a dining room set, and i found a used one for $400 but idk if that's too much for it..It's cherry with 6 chairs that have white seats. I'll try to add a pick soon.. How can I change the wood veneer of my dining room set?
The table is extremely scratched up, and I don't care for the light color of it. How can I change the color, preferably w faux wood finish w wood grain visible? The style of the chairs are out dated w a kind of mesh backing, would it be an easy task to change that, and how? The china cabinet and microwave table are in the same boat as the table, however I don't think I'll be able to work w any of it outside unless it would make the whole thing 10x's easier. Please help, I can't afford a new set, and don't think anyone would buy these peices. Thanks ahead of time

I can only do one out of three. I live in a 2 bedroom, 1 and 1 2 bathroom, spacious living room office, dining room and kitchen condo. My old dining room set now only has 3 chairs. but it previously had 4 chairs when i bought it. i don't entertain that much b c i am tight on budget. but i don't really have time to sit down and eat anyway. i feel bad when others come over that they often sit on my couch to eat. the fellowship of eating together is not there. or should i paint my condo? i'ven't painted it since 2001. it is white. it is not that bad, but i guess it is a bit shabby. also, i used to entertain a lot like at least once or twice a week. people spilled so many things on the beige carpet that it looks very bad. but in some places it's okay.when i said dining room set, i meant it with minimum of 4 to 8 chairs, a table, a buffet china cabinet.
