Question: How did you get burnt food out of a calphalon pan?

I burned sweet potatos and have soaked it in dawn (the good stuff) for days. I've kept it wet so not to dry out... how were you succesfull?? HELP it's GOOD PAN it's the original calphalon before they were coated w/ not stick

I don't know how you got anything stuck to a non stick pan...hmmm...if the finish is off you can scrub it with salt and a dish cloth...otherwise maybe you have just stained it..I really don't know..have you tried scrubbing it with a plastic scrubby..that might work and not scratch it.
