Help with dining room colour?
Hi, I need some help with my dining room paint colour. Right now it's red and I would like to change it to something a little more subtle. The dining room is in the middle of the kitchen and living room which are both shades of brown so I would like something different from that. Any ideas?Thanks
What type of fabric should I use for dining chairs?
I have 3 boys who are very messy. They tend to get something ketchup, juice, anything that typically stains on their seats at every meal. How to solve dining room table problem...?
I have a dining room table that I love, well, I love the base to it. It was my grandmas. Unfortunately the top is laminate and is old and not the color I like. I'm wondering is there somewhere I can just buy a table top. Or is it possible to purchase a entire table and take the top and put it onto my base? Any advice or suggestions would be wonderful Thanks

I am perplexed...I came home to find my dining room window full of flies. I must have killed about 25 of them.?
I keep a clean house. Checked the trash and nothing in there decayed. I checked to see if my dog a small Shitzu had any accidents inside. Nothing. But still there are an emormous and insane amount of flies. I killed most of them. I just cannot understand where or why the flies are here in my house Most of them are in one centralized area my dining room window. This same incident happen once last year, and just as weird as it was to find them, they strangely just disappeared after I killed most of them . No sign of where they came from and No flies since until today when I come home . Please if anyone else has had something similar occur at your home, please respond.

Designing living/dining room: vertical blinds?
We are re decorating our adjoining lr dr. There is a 6 foot archway between them. In the dr, there is a sliding glass door, and in the lr, there is a picture window. If using verical blinds, do I use floor length in both rooms, or just on the door in the dr and stop at the sill in the lr?Thanks for the input
How much would I have to sand a varnished dining chair to paint it in a glossy coloured paint?
I am wanting to paint my dining chairs and would love to know how much I would have to sand back the varnish to be able to paint them and for it to look lovely and not chip. I would prefer to not have to sand it the whole way back and am wondering if that is ok?Thanks

What ever happened to formica/laminate dining room tables?
I want only one table for dining in my home. I really miss the formal formica dining room tables of the 70's. You didn't need a pad. You didn't need to hide the table with a tablecloth. You could throw your keys and your groceries on it. You could work at it and you could dine at it. Does anyone make such a thing anymore?
